It is April and Spring and we are still dealing with Covid-19. We are under stay at home orders and I hope you all are obeying them so we can get over this pandemic, get out and get on with our lives. I know I have cabin fever but OUR health is very important so I will comply as long as necessary to protect those around me. Very little is still known about how this virus works, such as how it is spread or how to treat it. We do know that it affects the respiratory system. Some of the symptoms of the disease are a dry cough, high fever and shortness of breath.
The information we are getting about the disease and the actions being taken by our government are enough to really scare everyone. So what can you do to at this time to keep yourself and your family from getting and spreading the Corinavirus?
Here are some tips that can help:
- Wash your hands often and thoroughly with soap and warm
- No shaking hands with others
- If you cough or sneeze cover your mouth or nose with your
arm or tissue, away from others.
- If you are ill and have not been tested stay home, away form the public until you are better or going to get tested.
- Eat Healthy foods
- Drink Plenty of Water
- Use hand sanitizer when soap and water are not available
- Keep you hands out of the T zone of your face ( includes the eyes, nose and
- Wear a face mask when out in public
- Keep a positive attitude
- Laugh (excellent medicine)
These tips can help you stay out of contact with the virus and help boost your immune system to fight the disease if you get it.
If you have the symptoms of Coronavirus, call your doctor or hospital to let them know your are coming in and need to be tested so they can be prepared to handle you properly to keep the disease from spreading.
This pandemic is an inconvenience for all of us but we have to work together to get rid of it as soon as possible. Try to be patient and considerate of those around you by taking good care of your self and practicing good hygiene. Let's pray for the quick recovery of those that have it, their caregivers and the first responders. As for the rest of us, Let's follow the advice of the experts send this disease out of here so we can have a great spring!
